THE 2010 SEACUP SINGAPORE

The All-Star Teams had a great weekend of soccer in Singapore over February 27-28th representing JYS in the 23rd SEA CUP played in Singapore.
The teams have been preparing since November 2009 for this tournament, and they did us proud. The players not only performed to high standards on the pitch, they were great ambassadors for Indonesia and JYS. They played the game with Great Spirit and heart as well as fairly, as was evidenced by the fair play trophy the U13 team won.
The U13 squad finished 2nd, while both the U15 and U18 squads finished 3rd in a tightly fought completion. Most teams were very even and scores were very close.
Our congratulations to the KL teams who won all three age groups and the overall tournament trophy.
We will be looking to improving our standings at the 24th SEA Cup in KL which will be held in either late January or early February. We will need to work hard improve over the next year in order to return us to the top of this competition.
I would like to thank all who participated in this all star program from the sponsors, Coca-Cola, adidas, Indocement ( Nelson Borch), SSI, the parents, all the coaches of the teams who put in timeless hours and especially the players.

As the league commissioner I was so proud of our teams and look forward to our next campaign in KL.
