The Jakarta Girls Soccer (JGS) is a Youth Sports Community program open to girls, from Prep Senior to Grade 9, from the community (JIS & non-JIS students). The program is managed and operated by volunteer parents, faculty & students and/or other related individuals from within the community. Volunteer positions include league officers, coaches and administration support. Historically, we have had around 150 girls sign up.

The league philosophy is geared toward developing soccer skills, educating girls on the game of soccer, teamwork, sportsmanship and fair-play. Equal playing opportunity is a priority in the JGS.

Registration fee is Rp.500,000 per player. The registration fees go towards uniforms, equipments, trophies or other awards, JIS facility usage fee and game day referees.

The JGS season coincides with the JIS spring semester, usually starting in February or March and ending in May.

Practices:
Practice is about 1-1.5 hours long, once a week on a weekday afternoon. Practice time is dependent on the team coach (typically it can be anywhere between 5:30pm to 7:00pm). Practices are scheduled at the various JIS campus fields (Cilandak, PIE & Pattimura).

Games:
Games are played on the weekends. Our preference and priority is to have games mostly on Saturday. Depending on various factors (field availability, holidays, etc), games may also be scheduled on Sunday. Games are scheduled only at the Cilandak campus fields (Cilandak & PIE)

We encourage your child to register for the JGS. Soccer is a great game for developing your child's physical coordination, sportsmanship, confidence and team spirit. It is also a fun game!
