Do you love Cricket or would you just like to give it a go? Then the 2010 Cricket season is coming soon! Registrations will be on Sat 30 Jan at JIS PIE Cafeteria from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Cricket is one of the world����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½������¯������¿������½����¯�¿�½���¯���¿���½����¯�¿�½������¢ s most popular sports! Cricket is a fun game which encourages the development of a unique set of skills that have helped millions of players around the world young and old.

The Jakarta Youth Cricket association (JYC) is a Community Sports program open to boys and girls, all Grades, from the community (JIS & non-JIS students). The program is managed and operated by volunteer parents from within the community together with assistance from the Jakarta Cricket Association (JCA www.jakartacricket.com) and Cricket Indonesia (www.cricketindonesia.com). Parents are encouraged to volunteer as league officers, coaches and administration support.

Our aim is to involve as many players as possible having fun and enjoying the game of cricket while they learn and develop their skills, and improve their fitness.

The league philosophy is geared toward developing skills, educating children on the game of cricket, teamwork, sportsmanship and fair-play. We utilise a mixture of focussed coaching sessions and fun but competitive matches.

The cricket is operated in 2 separate groups - Junior/Beginners (generally 8 years and younger) who are still learning and having fun with the basics of ball skills, batting and fielding skills; and the Senior/Advanced group (generally 9 years and above) where the focus is more on further developing their skills and limited over games amongst the players.

• January to May
• The JYC season coincides with the JIS spring semester, starting in January/February and ending in May
• We understand that there are many different activities for the children and that the players may not be able to come every weekend; we are flexible to manage the cricket around this issue.

• There will be a sign up day on Saturday 30 January at JIS PIE Cafeteria 11:00am to 1:00pm

• Saturday mornings at JIS Campus
• For 5 - 8 yr age group - 08:00 to 09:00 am
• For 9 - 15 yr age group - 09:00 to approx 11.30 am

The registration fees go towards uniforms, equipment, JIS facility usage fee, external coaches and YSCJ website maintenance fee. Pls download the registration from here.The fees for 2010 are :

• 350.000 for the Juniors
• 600,000 for the Seniors
